Yesterday our house was upgraded with sun screens and roll-down shutters. I'm sure that in a few weeks we will think 'now why didn't we do this years ago'. It took the workmen only five hours to attach them.
So, you just push a button and the shutter rolls down?
I like this idea, a lot. We have two big upstairs windows that face west and get the hot sun all afternoon. Really heats those rooms up. Can you give me a brand name for these?
@Phil: yes, we have a wireless remote and can control each separate screen and shutter. I can give you the brand name, but I don't know if it will be of much help as it's a dutch brand: Floris (http://www.florisobdam.nl/). I'm sure you can find local suppliers, although it looks like most are about hurricane protection (our main goal is sun protection).
